Even the most optimistic of Spurs fans are unlikely to have foreseen how quickly Tanguy Ndombele would turn around his Tottenham career at the start of his second season at the club.
It was only a few months ago that Ndombele’s relationship with Jose Mourinho seemingly hit rock-bottom, with the midfielder barely earning any minutes under the Portuguese coach after the restart.
Fast forward a few months and the 23-year-old looks much fitter than he did in his first season at Spurs and he has subsequently become one of the most important players in the side.
Mourinho has publicly praised the Frenchman for his displays, while some Spurs fans on social media are in awe of the performances he has put in so far this campaign.
Ndombele himself looks to be much happier at the club than he did last season, as seen in a recent video where he was joking with his teammates on the way back from Manchester after Tottenham’s 6-1 win.
The midfielder’s latest social media post only serves as further evidence that he has turned a corner and is now fully focused on doing well on the pitch.
Ndombele shared a video of him training at Hotspur Way this week, with the caption: “Stay Focused”
