‘Too much stress’ – Some fans react to Spurs’ penalty shoot-out win at Wolves

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been sharing their thoughts on Twitter following the Carabao Cup third round tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Nuno Espirito Santo was able to see his side record a second win at Molineux in the space of less than a month following a tense penalty shoot-out.

Tottenham looked to be in the box seat after taking a 2-0 advantage in the first half courtesy of goals from Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Kane.

Yet again, some slack defending from a set piece gifted Wolves a route back into the match when Tanguy Ndombele’s attempt to try to mark Dendoncker saw the midfielder easily head home.

Another mistake saw Wolves capitalise in the second half when Oliver Skipp played the ball to Ndombele and the Frenchman was robbed of possession only to be punished by Daniel Podence.

Wolves came close to winning the game within the ninety minutes when Neves’ shot hit the crossbar following a big deflection off the leg of Ndombele but it was Tottenham’s night courtesy of the lottery of a shootout.

Below, we have included a selection of thoughts from the Spurs fanbase.
