Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target, Victor Osimhen has been told by his fellow Nigeria international, Tunde Adeniji, to snub Tottenham’s approach and move to a club like Napoli where he is likely to be first-choice.
Osimhen has enjoyed a sensational first season in Ligue 1 since signing for Lille last summer and is currently one of the most sought after young strikers in Europe.
Tottenham reportedly failed with an offer for the 22-year-old during the January transfer window (Sky Sports).
Reports indicate that the Lilywhites have since made a £62million offer to sign the striker this summer (Radio Kiss Kiss via Area Napoli).
However, Osimhen’s agent, Osita Okolo, previously questioned why the youngster would move to Spurs with Harry Kane still at the club (The Cable).
The Lille star recently poured cold water on reports suggesting that he had already agreed to join Napoli (omasports).
However, Adeniji believes a move to Naples would be the right next step for the young striker, as opposed to joining a club like Spurs.

The 24-year-old told All Nigeria Soccer: “I have been following Osimhen’s performance in Europe, he’s doing well.
“I would like him to play for Napoli if he leaves Lille, because he will have more playing time.
“They don’t have big names in their attack at Napoli. Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona and Real Madrid, (all the clubs) he’s being linked with have good strikers who have made a name for themselves.
“Osimhen is too young for the pressure now, so I prefer he joins Napoli.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I personally believe Osimhen will have no problems partnering Kane upfront if we did manage to land him in the summer. The England captain has shown that he is capable of playing a more withdrawn role, in between the lines. However, I do not expect Spurs to be in a position to afford Osimhen, nor do I expect the striker to be attracted by the prospect of coming to North London with Kane still at the club.
