‘Totally convinced’ – Journalist makes confident claim about Bayern’s interest in Kane

Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that he is ‘totally convinced’ that Harry Kane will be a ‘very very hot topic’ at Bayern Munich during next summer’s transfer window.

There has been plenty of speculation linking Kane with a move to Bayern recently, with Christian Falk revealing last week that the Bundesliga giants are hopeful that the striker will not sign a new contract with Spurs so they can make a move for him next summer.

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic played down the speculation this week, insisting that he has not spoken to the Tottenham star’s entourage regarding a transfer (Sport 1 via The Evening Standard).

However, Plettenberg has now said that Julian Nagelsmann’s side are seriously thinking about making a move for Kane next summer.

The journalist further added that there has been ‘definite’ contact between Bayern and the England captain’s agent and brother, Charlie Kane, regarding a switch to the Allianz Arena.

I have no doubt that Bayern would be interested in Kane, and perhaps they have reached out to the striker’s representatives already.

The German club would not be the only ones who try to sign the 29-year-old next summer if he does not sign a new contract.

Tottenham will be well aware of that I suspect the North London club might have already begun laying the groundwork on a new deal for the striker.
