Tottenham Hotspur will not be able to finalise a transfer before the end of the transfer window despite agreeing a fee for a player earlier this month.
Thomas Frank has confirmed that there will be no more exits from Tottenham this window, given the Lilywhites’ injury crisis has left them short of numbers.
While the Spurs boss is referring to the players currently in N17, the club have been working on a permanent sale of a player who is currently out on loan.
It emerged two weeks ago that Tottenham had accepted an £8.7m bid for Alejo Veliz from Brazilian side Bahia, but the transfer has been held up due to a complication.
Spurs do not have the option of recalling Veliz from his loan spell at Rosario Central, unless the Lilywhites pay compensation to the Argentine club or if the striker decides he wants to cut short his spell.

Alejo Veliz has made a decision after Tottenham’s accepted offer
A new report in Radio Fonica has claimed that the centre-forward will now remain at Rosario until the summer.
The 23-year-old has now decided that he will not be cutting short his stay at his boyhood club this month and will see out his loan spell in June.
It is explained that since Veliz is enjoying regular minutes at Rosario, he has given a decisive snub to Bahia, with the Argentine club ‘breathing a sigh of relief’ as a result.
Bahia will return for Veliz
Radio Fonica make it clear that this is not the end of Bahia’s interest in the Tottenham man.
The Brazilian club have decided to look for a temporary solution after being snubbed by Veliz this window, but they will return for the striker in the summer.
The same information has been carried by La Capital (via Sport Witness), who say that there is ‘relief’ at Rosario, now that they know they can continue relying on the 22-year-old’s services until the summer.
