Tottenham already have London bragging rights today

In a week where the first team has not one but two huge London derbies, it is actually the Tottenham U18s that have secured the first lot of bragging rights.

The Spurs youngsters saw off North London rivals Arsenal in a dramatic 3-2 encounter at Hotspur Way this morning (Evening Standard).

This maintains their unbeaten start to the season, and elevates them back to the top of the U18s Premier League South Division.

Arsenal actually took the lead early on through Folarin Balogun, but Spurs grabbed one back just before half time with a bullet header from Jubril Okedina.

Rayan Clarke gave Spurs the lead in the second half, just five minutes after 16-year-old Troy Parrott’s free-kick came back off the woodwork.

Luis Binks made it three for Tottenham, with Harvey White providing his second free-kick assist of the match.

Balogun got his second goal of the game to make it 3-2, before Arsenal were awarded their second penalty of the game.

Spurs keeper Oluwayemi denied Sam Greenwood for the first pen, and kept out the second from Matt Smith too, just three minutes from the final whistle.
