Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have now made contact with a 21-year-old forward who has registered 22 goal contributions this season, including three in the Champions League.
Tottenham Hotspur will be desperate to maintain their Premier League status ahead of next season, when a major summer rebuild could be on the cards.
Johan Lange has already hinted that Spurs will have a big summer window following what was a rather lacklustre winter transfer window, where Tottenham failed to strengthen key areas of their squad.
But should the Lilywhites drop to the Championship, they are set to face significant financial setbacks that would limit their spending in the transfer market.
It is understood that discussions with new manager Roberto De Zerbi included talks about future transfers and squad building following the Italian’s signing of a five-year deal, further highlighting Spurs’ determination to strengthen their squad.

Tottenham target Nicolo Tresoldi ahead of a potential summer move
A fresh report from Sky Deutschland now claims that Spurs are interested in securing the services of 21-year-old forward Nicolo Tresoldi from Club Brugge.
The Germany U21 is currently enjoying a stellar campaign, having managed 17 goals and five assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.
Three of his goals for the Belgian side came in this edition of the UEFA Champions League, where Tresoldi made ten appearances, highlighting his ability to perform on the biggest stage.
It is understood that Spurs have now asked about the forward, although the report does not clarify whether Tottenham made contact with Club Brugge, his agent, or both.
Spurs face competition from Arsenal for Nicolo Tresoldi deal
However, landing a player of his talent will not come easy, and Tottenham are set to face stern competition.
Arsenal are also in the mix for Tresoldi and have also made contact with the forward, like Spurs.
In the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are also keen, with the latter considering signing the forward if their striker, Christian Kofane, moves elsewhere after this season.
Tresoldi is expected to be available for a modest fee of €25-30m (£21.5m-£25.8m) – a fee that should be affordable for both Tottenham and Arsenal, who could tussle for the German’s signature.
