Tottenham and Chelsea have been tracking £56m German international ‘for months’

Tottenham Hotspur have been left extremely impressed by the performances of one Bundesliga star this season, but the player is not expected to come cheaply.

It has been suggested by some sources that Spurs are exploring the possibility of adding another midfielder to their squad after landing Conor Gallagher earlier this window.

A couple of days ago, it emerged that the Lilywhites were eyeing a move for a midfielder who came up against them in the Champions League recently.

Tottenham are reportedly checking on the situation of Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha, whose stock is growing quickly around Europe.

Tottenham face plenty of competition for Felix Nmecha

Journalist Mark Brus has revealed on CaughtOffside that Tottenham Hotspur have been tracking the 25-year-old for several months and were impressed by how he performed against them in the Champions League last week.

However, the Lilywhites are not alone in their admiration of Nmecha, who is also wanted by both Chelsea and Manchester United.

In fact, it is revealed that scouts from several English clubs have watched the German international closely over recent weeks.

However, getting Mnecha out of Signal Iduna Park will not be straightforward, as the player has no release clause on his contract.

What is Borussia Dortmund’s stance on Felix Nmecha?

Brus says that the Bundesliga side view Nmecha as a key cog in their midfield and have no intention of letting him go.

In fact, Dortmund are said to be exploring the possibility of offering the centre midfielder a pay rise and a contract extension to fend off interest from the Premier League.

The journalist asserts that Niko Kovac’s men will not entertain any offers less than around €60m–€65m (£52m- £56.4m) for the Spurs target.
