Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for an 18-year-old winger, who impressed at the World Cup, but they face competition from two other Premier League rivals.

Signing a top-class left-winger is next on Roberto De Zerbi’s agenda, and reports indicate that Tottenham are tracking many wide players around Europe.

While Savinho continues to be heavily linked with a move to Spurs, over the last few days, an increasing number of outlets have said that the Lilywhites could make a move for Rafael Leao.

It has now been revealed that a Senegal international, who found the back of the net at the World Cup, has been added to the North London club’s wishlist.

Tottenham battling two Premier League clubs for Ibrahim Mbaye

Transfer expert Ekrem Konur has told United in Focus that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs eyeing a move for PSG starlet Ibrahim Mbaye.

The 18-year-old, who is comfortable on either flank, found starts hard to come by at Paris last season, and a few Premier League sides have been alerted to him after his impressive displays at the World Cup.

Man United and Aston Villa are ready to challenge Roberto De Zerbi’s side for Mbaye’s signature.

In fact, it is revealed that Premier League clubs are already preparing an offer for the PSG starlet, with Man United exploring ways to integrate him into their squad plans.

What Mbaye thinks about moving to England

Konur claims Mbaye’s representatives are trying to convince him to remain in Paris, but a move to the Premier League is described as a ‘highly realistic scenario’ for the player.

This is because the teenager is keen to get regular game time under his belt and is thus open to taking the next step in his career.

The journalist adds that PSG would be willing to consider bids close to €35m (£30m), but the Premier League clubs are likely to test the water with offers of around €25m (£21.3m) first.
