Tottenham and Man United want Everton star, but deal may require almost £75m

A Premier League winger who Tottenham Hotspur are big fans of has emerged as a top target for Man United too.

We are now just days away from the closure of the January window, and the Lilywhites have been unable to strengthen their attack so far.

At the start of this month, it was reported that signing a winger was a priority for Tottenham and one Everton man was said to be near the top of the club’s wishlist.

It was widely reported that Spurs are ready to pursue a deal for Iliman Ndiaye, and some sources even claimed that the Lilywhites had made contact over a deal for the Everton winger.

Man United set sights on Tottenham target Iliman Ndiaye

While it does not appear as if Ndiaye is going anywhere in the final days of the January window, he could become a hotly contested signing in the summer.

This is according to TEAMtalk, who say that the 25-year-old’s stock has grown even further in light of his impressive performances for Senegal in their successful AFCON campaign.

Man United have now added Ndiaye to their summer shopping list, with the winger having several admirers at Old Trafford.

The Toffees man’s style of play and his overall profile are viewed as a strong fit for United, who are keen to add firepower to their attack.

While the winger is focused on having a strong end to the season at Everton, it is suggested that he could become one to watch in January.

Ndiaye will not come cheap in the summer

TEAMtalk point out that Everton rejected a £40m offer from Inter Milan for the Senegal international last summer, and his value has gone up considerably since then.

With Ndiaye contracted at Hill Dickinson Stadium until 2029, David Moyes’ men are in a strong negotiation position and are under no pressure to sell.

The outlet suggests that it is going to take an offer similar to Everton’s £75m record sale of Romelu Lukaku to convince the Merseyside club to part ways with the former Marseille man.
