Tottenham and PSG could be planning another January transfer

Tottenham Hotspur may be lining up another piece of January business with French giants PSG.

The last player Spurs bought from them in the winter window was one Lucas Moura, who has gone on to make quite the splash in London.

Spurs also recently purchased Serge Aurier from the European heavyweights, with both players transferring for a little less than you might expect.

Moura cost Tottenham a bargain £23m (BBC), with Aurier setting them back the exact same amount too (BBC).

PSG’s latest transfer headache comes in the form of Adrien Rabiot, and PSG may look to Spurs to help them out once again.

Le Parisien report that Rabiot is unlikely to sign a new deal, with his contract expiring in the summer.

PSG are unwilling to let him go on a free transfer as they are battling with financial fair play at the moment.

Tottenham and Juventus are listed as the two potential saviours for the French champions.

Spurs would likely prefer to pay some money in January, as they would surely be unable to compete with Juve’s wage offerings if Rabiot moves on a free in the summer.

Another £23m deal could suit both Spurs and PSG.
