Tottenham announce departure of 12 youth players – Including Thimothee Lo-Tutala

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of seven development players and a further five from the Under-18 ranks.

Goalkeepers Isak Solberg, Kacper Kurylowicz, Thimothee Lo-Tutala and Josh Oluwayemi have all headed out of the door, with Lo-Tutala having been involved in training with the first team on a number of occasions this season.

J’Neil Bennett wrote his name in Spurs history when he scored the first-ever goal at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in an Under-18 match against Southampton in March 2019 (Sun) has also been released, along with fellow outfield players Tobi Omole and Isak Solberg.

Departing from the Under-18s following the conclusion of their scholarships are Jez Davies, Jordan Hackett, Khalon Haysman, Renaldo Torraj and Oliver Turner.

Being released from a club can impact some of the younger players very hard, hopefully, the club are on hand to support them both in securing another club, improving their education for the prospect of employment along with any mental health aspects.

Lo-Tutala is the surprise name among those who have been released, given his involvement in first team training – he appeared to have more of a future than the likes of Alfie Whiteman.
