Tottenham Hotspur have announced that highly-rated academy youngster, Jamie Donley has signed a new contract until 2027.
The 18-year-old centre-forward has scored three and assisted three for the under-18s this season, as well as stepping up and playing 14 games in Premier League 2 (TransferMarkt).
This comes after he scored an impressive 16 and assisted another six in 18 U-18 matches last season (TransferMarkt).
In fact, Donley was still a schoolboy when he first started scoring for the U-18 side, before becoming a full-time scholar in 2021 and turning professional in 2022.
The centre-forward has been capped by both Northern Ireland and England at youth level.
Much like Harry Kane, Donley has been playing as a striker and also sometimes in a deeper role this season as he looks to have a greater influence on the game.
Donley has been at Spurs since the age of eight, and his new contract looks set to keep him in North London for a while yet.
Spurs Web Opinion:
After so many talented youngsters have left Spurs in the past five years, tying down the gems in the academy to new contracts is a must for the Lilywhites.
