Tottenham announce the sale of 23-year-old English academy graduate

Tottenham Hotspur have now announced the sale of academy graduate midfielder, Luke Amos, who has joined Queens Park Rangers on a permanent deal.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan with QPR, playing 35 games and scoring two goals for the Championship side (Wikipedia).

The former Lilywhite also spent time on loan at both Southend United and Stevenage during his time in North London.

Amos finally broke into the first-team set-up under Mauricio Pochettino, making his Premier League debut in the 2018/19 season against Newcastle.

This came after Amos impressed fans and the manager alike during the 2018 pre-season tour, only to rupture his ACL just one month into the new season.

Unfortunately for Amos, he was not given another chance at Spurs following his return from injury, with the Englishman being loaned straight out to QPR.

By the time he returned, even Mauricio Pochettino, the man who had originally shown faith in him, had departed the North London club.

Spurs Web Opinion:

We would like to wish Amos all the best on his next adventure. Unfortunately, the ACL injury came at the worst possible time and, without it, who knows where he would be today.
