Tottenham Hotspur have shared a video showing Pedro Porro’s brilliance throughout the season just hours after the right-back was astonishingly left out of the Spain squad for the European Championship.

It is fair to say that not just Spurs fans but many neutrals would have also had Porro as Spain’s starting right-back in this summer’s tournament in Germany.
It thus came as a huge shock to many when the Tottenham man did not even make the 29-man preliminary squad that Spain boss Luis de la Fuente named on Monday.
Porro will undoubtedly feel hard done by as he had been one of Spurs’ most consistent performers in the season just passed, managing 10 goal contributions in the league.
However, the 24-year-old provided a very gracious response to his omission, stating on X that while he was looking forward to playing in the Euros, he is now fully behind his teammates who have been selected ahead of him.

Tottenham aim sly dig at Spain squad selection
Tottenham’s social media admin seems to have aimed a dig at De la Fuente’s selection by sharing a video of all of Porro’s assists in the 2023-24 campaign, along with the caption: ‘What a season for this man’.

Some of these assists are absolutely world-class and neither Jesus Navas nor Dani Carvajal are capable of those. It shows how poor a decision De la Fuente has made as you would have thought that he would at least want someone of Porro’s attacking quality on the bench.
