Tottenham have explained the steps they are taking to stop away supporters from sitting in the home areas in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and have informed Spurs fans what they need to do if they come across the phenomena at the venue.

Frustrating sight for Tottenham fans
Many Spurs fans have expressed their frustration on social media regarding the fact that away fans somehow source tickets in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium home areas.
Tottenham have now made an announcement on their official website explaining that they are cognizant of the problem and the way it affects the fan experience.
The statement began: ‘We are aware of frustrations regarding away fans sourcing tickets in home areas. This negatively impacts the wider fan experience – preventing genuine home fans from supporting the team in person – and creates challenging situations for our stewards.’
They vowed to take steps to tackle the issue starting with the clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

What should Tottenham fans do when they spot away fans in the home end?
In the announcement, Tottenham reiterated the fact that away fans are not permitted in the home end and that the stewards will deny entry or eject away supporters who are seated in the home areas.
The club asked any fan who comes across an away supporter in the home section to speak to the nearest steward or send a message to the matchday text service at 07537404821 along with their location.
Spurs also requested fans not to intervene and allow the stewards to do their job of removing them.
Additionally, Tottenham have urged supporters to use official club platforms to pass on their tickets to others as away fans often use unauthorised third-party websites to get into the home end.

Spurs are maintaining a zero-tolerance approach
Finally, the club added that they are taking a zero-tolerance approach towards ticket touting.
They made it clear that they would take ‘the strongest possible action’ against those who sell their tickets unofficially, including hitting them with sanctions and even permanent club bans.
Finally, they stated that they will take various measures to identify ticket touts, including “the monitoring of suspicious bookings, the investigation of fan reports, and the ongoing development of our technology.”
