Tottenham are in a six-horse race for £40m striker who seems destined for relegation

A Premier League striker who scored 14 goals last season is now on the market, and Tottenham are one of the clubs showing interest.

Spurs have had their problems up front this season, with Randal Kolo Muani yet to get a goal or an assist in the Premier League, while Richarlison, despite being the club’s top scorer this term, has blown hot and cold.

Mathys Tel has not shown enough to convince that he can lead the line. The one positive for Thomas Frank is that Dominic Solanke finally appears to be edging closer to a return.

However, despite the England international’s recovery, it has now emerged that the Lilywhites are eyeing a move for another centre-forward this month.

Tottenham one of six Premier League clubs interested in Jorgen Strand-Larsen

According to a report in TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on Wolves striker Jorgen Strand-Larsen, who is expected to be on the move this month.

The Norway international scored 14 goals and provided four assists in what was his debut Premier League season in 2024-25, but he has only scored once in 18 outings for a struggling Wolves side this term.

The report names Newcastle United as potential frontrunners after their failed move for Strand-Larsen in the summer, while Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Fulham are also being kept informed of the situation.

The outlet explains that West Ham also previously showed interest in the 25-year-old, but the Hammers are no longer in the race, having moved on to other targets.

Wolves’ asking price for Strand-Larsen has dropped

TEAMtalk reveal that Wolves turned down multiple bids from Newcastle for the centre-forward in the summer, the largest of which was approaching £60m.

However, the West Midlands club now realise that relegation from the Premier League could see the value of their most valuable assets drop considerably.

As a result, they have decided to sell Strand-Larsen this month, and a bid close to £40m may be enough to prise the striker away from the Molineux Stadium.
