Tottenham are pushing the hardest to sign Leroy Sane on a free transfer

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly the club who are showing the most interest in signing a two-time Premier League winner, who is expected to be on the move in the summer.

Reports over recent days have indicated that Tottenham are prepared to flex their muscle in this summer’s transfer window after being boosted by Champions League qualification.

Ange Postecoglou has stressed the need for Spurs to sign players who are proven at the highest level, and it appears that the North London club are ready to act on the wishes of their head coach.

On Monday, Sky Sports revealed that Tottenham have been offered a chance to sign Leroy Sane on a free transfer after Bayern Munich were unable to agree a new deal with the winger.

Tottenham have made the most concrete advances towards Leroy Sane

The former Manchester City man has played an important hand in Bayern’s Bundesliga title win this season, with 11 goals and six assists in 30 matches this season.

Bild have now become the latest outlet to suggest that despite his contribution this season, his time at the Allianz Arena may be about to end as the player’s entourage has been unable to agree on terms of a new contract with the Bavarian side.

The outlet says that Spurs are the Premier League side who are currently pushing the hardest to sign Sane.

Additionally, it is asserted that the North London club has become an attractive destination for the 29-year-old after they qualified for the Champions League.

It is explained that the German winger could also see himself living in London where his family currently reside.

Tottenham and their rivals have already spoken to Sane

The speculation linking the Bayern man with a move to N17 is not new, with reports first emerging in April that Spurs and Arsenal had both held conversations with Sane about a summer move.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Sane had been offered to Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle, which means that Tottenham may have a lot of work to do to get this deal over the line.

Additionally, one cannot discount the possibility that this might be a negotiating tactic from the winger’s camp to force Bayern to offer the kind of terms they want in the new contract.
