Tottenham Hotspur fans will be excited this evening, as the club are reportedly close to completing a deal for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Spurs are ‘on the verge of’ of deal that will bring Ndombele to the North London club for a fee of around €62.

There are apparently just a few remaining details to address before Ndombele is able to make his summer move.

This comes just hours after Lyon announced the arrival of Jean Lucas today, a man who is likely to be Ndombele’s replacement for next season (Lyon Twitter).

The Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulus also revealed today that Ndombele has asked to leave the club this summer (Mirror).

He also claimed last week that there would be a chance for Ndombele to leave the club if they brought in a replacement in his position (Football London).

Everything seems to be pointing towards an impending Ndombele signing, but can Spurs get it over the line?

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. LOL, I keep hearing Arsenal fans saying now we have our new stadium we won’t be able to buy any top players, we’re going to spend more on Ndombele than Arsenals whole transfer budget. Arsenal have paid off their stadium, where’s their money for transfers? LOL # being ripped off
