Tottenham attacker seen limping after full-time as yet more injuries pile up on Thomas Frank

After Ben Davies and Archie Gray both left the pitch early against West Ham, Tottenham could have yet another injury problem from the game.

Tottenham Hotspur have delivered another performance to forget with a 2-1 home defeat to 17th-place West Ham United.

The visitors’ victory is even tougher to take, as they scored their winning goal in stoppage time when it seemed like Spurs would pick up a point.

To make matters even worse, Ben Davies and Archie Gray both left the pitch with injuries, adding to the ongoing crisis at the club.

Xavi Simons could join Ben Davies and Archie Gray on the sidelines

Tottenham already have issues in midfield, so the concerns about Archie Gray will be particularly worrying to Thomas Frank.

According to Tom Barclay, Gray might not be the only midfielder with a problem, because Xavi Simons has also provided his manager with a reason to be concerned.

The Dutchman was seen limping through the mixed zone after Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat. He was the victim of a heavy challenge by Jarrod Bowen in the second half and it is not yet known whether this could become an issue which affects the upcoming week.

Simons is an essential player for Spurs

Even though Simons had a very poor first half against West Ham, he was never going to be hooked off at half-time.

Tottenham simply do not have enough midfield options, particularly when it comes to attacking-minded players who have the ability to create chances.

If Simons is injured, this will be extremely bad news for Spurs, especially with Borussia Dortmund lying in wait to take on the Europa League holders in just three days.
