An experienced centre-forward wanted by Tottenham Hotspur is contemplating his next step as the interest in his services intensifies.

Randal Kolo Muani has departed Tottenham after a disappointing loan spell, and reports continue to suggest that Richarlison could be on his way out of Spurs.

Roberto De Zerbi has admitted he is a big fan of Dominic Solanke, who looks likely to stay, but the Lilywhites may have to enter the market for another number nine to compete with the former Bournemouth man.

Spurs scouted an experienced Bundesliga striker several times last season, and they could now be involved in a major transfer battle for his services.

Tottenham involved in five-horse race for Serhou Guirassy

The player in question is Serhou Guirassy, who has been mooted as a target for De Zerbi’s side this summer as they look to bolster their options upfront.

Sky Sports Germany reporter Patrick Berger has revealed that a departure from Borussia Dortmund is very much on the cards for the experienced striker.

He named Tottenham as one of the clubs vying for Guirassy, but the Lilywhites face competition from Premier League rivals Aston Villa for the centre-forward.

The journalist also revealed that the Guinea international, who scored 22 goals and provided six assists last season, is also of interest to Fenerbahce, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Only Harry Kane has scored more Bundesliga goals than Guirassy over the last two seasons.

Guirassy’s brother denies move to Fenerbahce has been finalised

Berger also spoke to the Dortmund star’s brother Karamba Guirassy about the ongoing speculation on the 30-year-old’s future.

Karamba denied rumours that the former Stuttgart man has agreed to move to Fenerbahce, insisting that his brother is still contemplating his next step.

Karamba said: “To clarify: no agreement of any kind has been reached“, he says exclusively to me. “Serhou is currently evaluating his options for next season. Any claim of a verbal deal is simply not true.”
