Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a young Brazilian starlet whose future is now entering a crucial phase.
Spurs, who have been prioritising signing young players with potential over recent years, have now shifted to pursuing proven Premier League performers.
Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, and Martin Dubravka have arrived through the door, and Tottenham are now trying to finalise two big-money deals for Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
However, the Lilywhites showed with their acquisition of Souza in January that they are scouring South America for young talent, and the Premier League side is now looking to poach another Brazilian starlet this summer.

Tottenham battling Fulham for Coritiba’s Lucas Ronier
Um Dois Esportes (as translated by Sport Witness) reports that Spurs and their London rivals Fulham have both expressed an interest in Coritiba’s Lucas Ronier this summer.
The 21-year-old winger is entering a ‘significant moment’ in his career, with Coritiba starting to assess how long they could realistically hold onto the youngster.
With Ronier’s current deal running until December of 2027, the Brazilian club are aware that the next European transfer window (January of 2027) could be their final opportunity to cash in before the player enters the final year of his deal.
Coritiba insist they have not received any official proposals for the attacker, but they are keen to avoid weakening their negotiating position.
Ronier wants to move to Europe
Um Dois Esportes reveal that Coritiba had previously accepted an offer of €10.3m (£8.8m) from an unnamed Saudi Pro League club for their academy graduate.
However, Ronier turned down the chance to move to the Middle East as his preference was to look for an opportunity in one of the major European leagues.
The winger’s stance has not changed since then, and he is now represented by Andre Cury, who is one of the most influential agents in Brazil and has major connections across Europe.
