Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move for an experienced England international, who has been one of the most consistent defenders across the Premier League for several years.
Recent developments have shown that Tottenham may not be as light at centre-back as some previously thought. Kevin Danso has earned everyone’s praise with the way he has stepped up in Cristian Romero’s absence.
Radu Dragusin is now back in full training and is not a long way away from returning to action after suffering an ACL injury at the start of the year.
However, despite having these options at his disposal, it has been claimed that Thomas Frank wants to add another experienced centre-back to his squad, and the Lilywhites have now allegedly set their sights on an England international.

Tottenham is battling several Premier League clubs for Aston Villa star
According to a report in CaughtOffside, Spurs are now turning their attention to Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa ahead of the January window.
The report claims that Frank is eager to bolster Tottenham’s defensive depth due to the injury record of Romero and Van de Ven, and the North Londoners view Konsa as a good option.
However, they are expected to face competition from Liverpool and Man City, who both have the Villa man on their wishlist.
Additionally, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are also watching the 28-year-old’s situation closely ahead of the transfer window.
What is Aston Villa’s stance on Ezri Konsa?
CaughtOffside say that while Villa are reluctant to sell Konsa, the club’s financial situation may force them to consider offers for the defender.
In order to comply with PSR regulations, Unai Emery’s men may need to sell a homegrown player, as the fee from such a sale would go down as pure profit in their books.
Konsa is contracted at Villa Park until 2028, and the outlet alleges that the Midlands club value him between £40m and £45m.
