Tottenham Hotspur could re-sign Republic of Ireland hero Troy Parrott for a discounted price as Premier League clubs circle around the striker.
Parrott was rated highly while coming through the youth ranks at Hotspur Way and made his senior debut for the Lilywhites aged just 17, back in 2019.
However, he never managed to become a regular fixture in the first team and the youngster was sold by Spurs to AZ Alkmaar for just £6.7m in 2024.
The striker had a decent first season at the AFAS Stadium, and he has taken his game to another level this season, with 13 strikes in 14 matches for AZ.
Parrott has also been the standout player for the Republic of Ireland recently, with the 23-year-old scoring a brace against Portugal and a hat-trick against Hungary to keep his nation’s World Cup dreams alive.

Tottenham have a sell-on clause for Troy Parrott
Some Spurs fans may be wondering if the club attached a buy-back clause to Parrott, and the answer is, unfortunately, no, according to Football.London.
However, the outlet reveals that Tottenham did attach a 20 per cent sell-on clause when they sold the striker to AZ Alkmaar around 18 months ago.
That means that the Lilywhites will benefit financially from the sale of Parrott, who is thought to be on the radar of Premier League clubs.
It also means that if Spurs were to go in to re-sign the centre-forward, they could do so for a 20 per cent lower fee than other clubs.
Parrott is being scouted by many clubs across Europe
A few days ago, a report in Football Insider claimed that several Premier League and European clubs sent scouts to Budapest to watch Parrott in action against Hungary.
Those scouts would have undoubtedly been impressed with what they saw as the striker netted an impressive hat-trick to take Ireland to the World Cup playoffs.
Interestingly, Parrott qualifies as homegrown and club-trained at Spurs, and with Tottenham’s lack of homegrown numbers well documented, the Lilywhites may be tempted to re-sign the striker on a discount.
