Tottenham star nominated for prestigious award

As 2018 rolls slowly towards a close, the Ballon Dor nominations have been released for another year of the prestigious award.

Among the favourites of Ronaldo, Messi, Modric and co, two Tottenham stars have made the 30 man short list.

Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris were both included among some of the biggest stars in world football.

Hugo Lloris has enjoyed perhaps the best year of his footballing career this year, and will be delighted to see his name next to the likes of Oblak and Allison.

Not only did Lloris captain Spurs to a win over Real Madrid last season, and another top three finish after 38 away games, but he also performed admirably for his country France.

France took to Russia this summer in pursuit of the World Cup trophy and walked away as champions, beating Croatia in the final.

Hugo captained his country to the momentous win, pulling off some world class saves through the tournament.

He may have even won the golden glove if it wasn’t for his awful mistake at the death of the final, gifting Croatia a consolation goal.

Well done Hugo!
