Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Alejo Veliz has completed a loan move to Sevilla until the end of the season.
There is a lot of excitement around Veliz in Argentinian football, given his outstanding displays for Rosaria Central last season.
It is clear to see why the 20-year-old is so highly thought off, with the centre-forward managing to catch the eye in his limited opportunities at Tottenham over the past few months, opening his account in front of goal for the Lilywhites at the Amex Stadium back in December.
The youngster now has a chance to show Ange Postecoglou and the coaching staff at Spurs what he could do in a high-pressure environment after having sealed a loan switch to the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

Alejo Veliz will get game time at Sevilla
According to various reports, Sevilla have given assurances to Tottenham that Veliz will get regular game time over the next five months (Dan Kilpatrick – The Standard’s live transfer blog).
The striker will now be tasked with helping the Andalusian club steer clear of relegation, with Quique Sanchez Flores’ men currently languishing in 16th place in the table.

Given that Sevilla have struggled to score goals this season, one would expect Veliz to get plenty of minutes at the club. We will see over the next few months whether the youngster is ready for the highest level or whether he is still very much a work in progress.
