Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed that Djed Spence has joined Genoa on an initial loan deal until the end of the season.
Spence arrived at Tottenham 18 months ago from Middlesbrough in a £20m deal on the back of his brilliant showing in the Championship on loan at Nottingham Forest.
However, the youngster struggled to get much game time at Spurs, managing a total of just six appearances for the North London club.

Djed Spence joins Genoa on loan from Spurs
The youngster spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Leeds and impressed at Elland Road after recovering from his injury but the Championship side decided to prematurely end the spell, with Daniel Farke revealing that the decision was made due to disciplinary issues (Joe Donnohue).
The right-back will now have a chance to get his career back on track in Serie A, having moved to the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on loan until the summer.
It has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano as well as other sources that Genoa will have an option to buy Spence permanently for €10m (£8.6m) in June.

We have probably seen the last of Spence in a Tottenham shirt. Even if Genoa do not take the option to buy him permanently, the North London club will likely put the right-back up for sale at the end of the season.
