Tottenham confirm appointment of new head coach on a two-year deal

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as the club’s new head coach.

The 47-year-old has signed a two-year contract in North London to end Tottenham’s ten week search for a replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Spurs had been linked with a host of names including Mauricio Pochettino, Erik ten Haag, Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca and Gennaro Gattuso.

Tottenham play their first pre-season match at Leyton Orient on 17 July and those players who have not been involved in international fixtures will report for pre-season training on Monday.

Nuno, who has been out of work since leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers by mutual consent at the end of the season. It has yet to been confirmed who will be part of his backroom staff.

The search is finally over, after ten weeks and plenty of twists and turns, Spurs have ended up with Nuno Espirito Santo. Spurs fans now have no other option but to try and get behind the former Wolves man and hopefully Paratici and Levy give him the support he needs.
