Tottenham confirm first-team player will be leaving the club this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have officially confirmed that Lucas Moura will be leaving the club this summer following the end of his current contract.

Moura joined Tottenham in January 2018 from PSG and has been a valued member of the squad ever since, although he will always be remembered for one night above the rest.

His hat trick in Amsterdam to take Tottenham to the Champions League Final for the first time will live long in the memories of Spurs fans all over the world, and those videos will be replayed for decades to come.

Although it has been far from an ideal season for the Brazilian, Moura has clocked up 219 appearances in the Lilywhite shirt over the past five years, scoring 38 goals and assisting another 27 (TransferMarkt).

That night against Ajax, his brace against Man United, the first hat-trick at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – Lucas Moura leaves a unique legacy behind in North London.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think Lucas Moura will be a beloved Tottenham legend in the years to come after he leaves the club. People have been frustrated with his performances this season, but those frustrations will be replaced with memories of joy when his time at Spurs is looked back on.
