Tottenham confirm rescheduled PL date for postponed Brighton fixture

Tottenham have confirmed a new date for the club’s postponed Premier League trip to Brighton.

The encounter at the American Express Community Stadium was originally set for Sunday, December 12, 2021, but was called off after a COVID outbreak in the Spurs camp (Sky Sports).

But Tottenham have now confirmed that the fixture will now be played on Wednesday, March 16, with a kick-off time set for 7.30 pm.

The meeting with the Seagulls is expected to come at a crucial time for Spurs and could have big implications on the club’s race to finish in the top four at the end of term.

It comes after an away trip to fellow Champions League chasers Manchester United and before the club welcomes West Ham to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that weekend.

Antonio Conte’s men have struggled for results in recent weeks, having slumped to three consecutive league defeats which has pushed his side down to eighth in the table.

The Brighton match will come at an important time for Spurs and baring on how they get on over the next few weeks, it is likely going to be a must-win game. Spurs have ultimately put themselves in a position where they need to win most games to secure a strong end to the season, but they have got to take each game individually to see progress.
