Tottenham confirm seventh signing of the summer transfer window

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Destiny Odogie from Udinese.

The Italian Under-21 international has signed five-year contract with the north Londoners and will return to the Serie A side on loan for the rest of the current season.

Udogie is Tottenham’s seventh summer signing following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence as part of Antonio Conte’s revamp of his squad.

The left-wing back did not feature for the Italian side as they lost 4-2 to AC Milan on Saturday in their opening match of the Serie A season and arrived in London on Sunday (Evening Standard).

It is great to see that Tottenham are already planning for the future with the arrival of Udogie, who will not be part of Antonio Conte’s plans this season but will instead return to Atalanta.

With Udogie tipped to soon receive a call up to the senior Italian set-up, it is a shrewd move from Spurs to land the player for around £15m before his value and interest in him increases even further.
