Tottenham confirm two youngsters have signed new contracts until 2023

Malachi Fagan-Walcott and Brooklyn Lyons-Foster have signed new contracts at Tottenham Hotspur until 2023, the club has confirmed.

Fagan-Walcott has turned out on 15 occasions in defence for the club’s Under-23 side this term (Transfermarkt) as well as securing a spot in Spurs’ Europa Conference League qualifiers earlier this season.

The 20-year-old was handed his senior debut in the Champions League under Jose Mourinho, coming on as a substitute as Spurs bowed out of the competition against RB Leipzig in March 2020.

Lyons-Foster, meanwhile, has also featured heavily for the reserves this season in midfield and has made 17 appearances (Transfermarkt).

The midfielder also earned himself a spot on the first-team bench during the Europa Conference League, but did not manage to make his Spurs debut.

Spurs have done well to extend the contracts of two promising young players for another year at least.  It means they have some more time to decide how they will be used next season and it avoids the problem of them becoming free agents any time soon.
