Tottenham have been impressed with the progress of a young Danish midfielder, but Thomas Frank’s men have competition to worry about from closer to home in the race to secure his signature.
Spurs are not short of talented young midfielders, with many expecting Lucas Bergvall and Pape Sarr to be linchpins of the Tottenham midfield for a long time.
Then there is Archie Gray, who Thomas Frank feels has the potential to become as good as Declan Rice or Rodri.
Spurs are now seemingly looking to sign another talented teenage midfielder, who has made quite an impression since his big summer move.

Tottenham are big fans of Porto starlet Victor Froholdt
This update comes from CaughtOffside, who say that Victor Froholdt has impressed many big sides around Europe since his switch from Copenhagen to Porto in the summer.
That includes Tottenham Hotspur, who like what they see of the 19-year-old, who has one goal and one assist to his name this season.
The report says that Spurs are impressed by Froholdt’s relentless energy and physical profile, with the Lilywhites believing that he is tailor-made for Premier League football.
Despite signing the central midfielder just this summer, Porto are ready to listen to offers for the teenager, with the club hoping to secure a fee in the region of €50m-€60m (£43.5m-£52.2m) for him.
Spurs face competition from Arsenal and others for Froholdt
CaughtOffside say that Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Brighton are all ready to battle Thomas Frank’s men for the former Copenhagen man’s signature.
The Gunners are said to be ‘particularly keen’ on landing Froholdt, with the club viewing him as ‘a potential cornerstone of their long-term midfield rebuild’.
The report adds that Atletico Madrid have been following the midfielder for many months, with Diego Simeone a big fan of the youngster.
