Tottenham could face another ridiculous fixture pile up as they chase the title

Tottenham Hotspur are well in with a chance for the Premier League title as we edge closer to March.

With the season run in ahead, Spurs are currently just five points off Man City and Liverpool at the top of the League, with a game in hand on the former.

However, Spurs may feel the wrath of yet another fixture pile up in the near future, as FA Cup rescheduling could come back to bite them.

Tottenham played a ridiculous 17 games through December and January, and they could be set for a similar end to the campaign.

Their match against Crystal Palace has already been postponed due to Palace’s involvement in the FA Cup, and if Brighton reach the semi-finals, that game will have to be rescheduled too.

In fact, if these two sides both make the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and Tottenham reach the same stage of the Champions League, the Lilywhites will be forced to play two games a week for the final five weeks of the season.

The potential run in could look like this:

April 2/3: Rearranged game vs Brighton/Crystal Palace
April 6/7: PL vs Brighton/FA Cup semi-final weekend
April 9/10: Champions League quarter final first leg
April 13/14: PL vs Huddersfield
April 16/17: Champions League quarter final second leg
April 20/21: PL vs Manchester City
April 23/24: Rearranged game vs Brighton/Crystal Palace
April 27/28: PL vs West Ham
April 30/May 1: Champions League semi-final first leg
May 4/5: PL vs Bournemouth
May 7/8: Champions League semi-final second leg
May 12: PL vs Everton
