Tottenham could face upcoming stadium crisis

Tottenham could face a stadium crisis over the next couple of months as FA Cup clashes disrupt their hosting plans.

The Mirror state that Tottenham were hoping to open their new stadium on March 17 at home to Crystal Palace, but with Palace making it through to the next round of the FA Cup that weekend, the fixture will have to be rearranged.

The next home tie for Spurs comes on April 6 against Brighton, but they too are in the FA Cup still, and Spurs could face another rescheduling if they make the semis.

Even if they don’t, Wembley will be unavailable that weekend because of the FA Cup, and MK Dons would also be busy with League 1 football, meaning the new stadium would really need to be ready in time.

An original opening date of September 15 was named, but fast forward five months and still no one seems to really know what is happening.
