The official Tottenham Hotspur channel has now confirmed that Radu Dragusin and Kota Takai have taken positive steps in their recovery journey.
The pair featured earlier this week in a behind-closed-doors match for Spurs Under-21s against Dagenham and Redbridge at Hotspur Way, a friendly match that allowed both players to get valuable minutes into their legs.
It was Takai’s first minutes in a Tottenham shirt while Dragusin continued to build fitness, having already featured in a behind-closed-doors match during the November international break.
Spurs fitness boost arrives at an important stage
The return to full fitness for the two players will be a welcome boost for Tottenham, who remain active across the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Spurs’ defensive options are thin at present, with Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso and Ben Davies the only fully fit choices available to Frank, which leaves little room for rotation in a demanding period.
Given the length of the season and the injury record of Romero and Van de Ven, it is important for Frank to have more options available to him as the campaign deepens.
