Tottenham could have a strange Thomas Frank reunion in the Championship next season

Tottenham Hotspur may run into Thomas Frank next season if Roberto De Zerbi fails to keep the club in the Premier League.

Frank lasted just eight months in the Tottenham hot seat after joining from Brentford last June, with the Dane leaving the Lilywhites close to the relegation zone when he was eventually sacked in February.

A big section of the Tottenham fan base never got on board with his style of play, and many supporters even felt that Spurs should have sacked Frank a lot earlier

Frank has already been linked with an early return to management, and it has now been revealed that the 52-year-old is on the radar of a Championship side.

Former Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is a target for Birmingham City

Football League World have now revealed that Birmingham City are now eyeing a managerial change after an underwhelming showing in the Championship.

The Blues, who are languishing in 14th place in the Championship, currently have former Spurs assistant coach Chris Davies at the helm.

However, the Birmingham owners are considering parting ways with Davies after a poor campaign and want to attract Frank to the club.

The Championship side is ready to make some ambitious moves as they attempt to push for promotion next season, and they have thus set their sights on the former Tottenham boss, given his vast experience at the highest level.

If Frank does agree to join the Midlands club, Spurs may find themselves locking horns against the Dane in the Championship next term if Roberto De Zerbi does not manage to guide the Lilywhites to safety.

Birmingham will not find it easy to attract Frank

Football League World make it clear that attracting the former Tottenham and Brentford boss to St Andrews will not be easy for the Blues.

Although the Birmingham owners possess great financial resources and have some big ambitions, it is unclear if Frank is open to dropping down to the second tier.

This report comes a couple of weeks after Football Insider claimed that Frank is in contention to replace Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park this summer.
