Tottenham could land £47m midfielder with Premier League experience for just £25m

Tottenham Hotspur do not have to break the bank to land an experienced midfielder, whom Thomas Frank is keen on landing.

Many experienced number sixes have been linked with a move to N17 in January, and that might be due to reports suggesting Yves Bissouma is on his way out of Spurs.

That includes Ruben Neves, who Tottenham are said to be keen on bringing back to the Premier League.

It has been suggested that the former Wolves man’s experience in England, vision, and leadership qualities appeal to Thomas Frank’s side.

Tottenham can land Ruben Neves for a cut-price fee

Over the last couple of weeks, several sources have claimed that Neves is keen on a return to the Premier League in January.

This has now been backed up by journalist Sam C, who revealed on social media that the 28-year-old feels he has unfinished business in European football.

The journalist also asserted that Al-Hilal are ready to sell the rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target for just £25m next month, two years on from buying him for £47m.

He wrote on X: “Understand Ruben Neves feels like he can still play in Europe, and is open to a move away from Saudi Arabia in January. Player can be prized away from Al-Hilal for around £25m.”

Spurs are not the front-runners for Neves

CaughtOffside relayed this information from Sam C, and they also add their own information to the Neves transfer saga.

They claim that several Premier League clubs want Neves and that it is Man United who are currently leading the race to land the midfielder.

Their report makes no mention of Tottenham but adds that Newcastle United and West Ham United are also after the Portuguese international.
