Tottenham could pounce on FA Cup-winning manager amid Thomas Frank struggles

Tottenham Hotspur have already identified an option to replace Thomas Frank should the Dane fail to turn things around.

Frank has said he is confident that the Tottenham owners will give him time, but the 52-year-old will be aware that the team’s current form cannot continue.

Spurs fans are growing increasingly frustrated with Frank’s approach, and many have already written him off.

There are now growing reports that some Tottenham players are also frustrated with Frank’s constant tactical tweaks, and it turns out that the Lilywhites hierarchy already have someone in mind they can replace the Dane with.

Tottenham are big admirers of Oliver Glasner

According to TEAMtalk, Oliver Glasner has a strong allure for Tottenham Hotspur, who have been long-time admirers of the Austrian.

The Crystal Palace boss is alleged to have been near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist in their previous managerial hunts.

It is suggested that Glasner’s recent comments about being unsatisfied with Palace’s summer business may not have gone unnoticed in North London.

The publication asserts that should Tottenham’s form continue to dip any further under Frank, the Lilywhites may pounce on the former Eintracht Frankfurt head coach.

Spurs will not sack Frank for now

TEAMtalk say that despite Tottenham’s admiration for Glasner, Frank retains the backing of the club’s board for now.

One Spurs insider told the website about the former Brentford boss: “He still has time. The hierarchy believes in his process, but a few more stumbles, and contingency plans will accelerate.”

This has been backed by other journalists, who have suggested that the Tottenham board are prepared to be patient with Frank despite the growing negative sentiment among the club’s fan base.
