Tottenham Hotspur are no longer in the race for Antoine Semenyo, but he could still impact their January transfer plans.
Over the last few days, a number of reports have suggested that Tottenham have stopped pushing to land Semenyo as the reality of the transfer race dawned on the North London club.
It has been claimed by multiple sources that the Bournemouth star favours a move to Man City or Liverpool in January.
This is despite the fact that Tottenham were willing to offer the Ghana international a higher salary than their rivals.
Premier League giants now in ‘strong position’ to win Antoine Semenyo race
It is now being reported by The Telegraph that Man City are in ‘a strong position’ to complete a deal for the 25-year-old in the January window.
City have identified Semenyo as the man to freshen their attack, but they are aware that they will face ‘intense’ competition from their rivals.
Liverpool and Man United have also made their interest in the Ghanaian clear, but Chelsea are not planning to follow through after enquiring about the winger.
It is explained that the Bues checked on the conditions for the Semenyo deal, but they have now decided to focus their attention on other alternatives.

Spurs could turn their attention to Man City star
The Telegraph say that the Bournemouth man has made it clear that he is not interested in a January move to Tottenham.
Instead, it is suggested that Spurs could reignite their interest in Savinho, who has found game time hard to come by at the Etihad Stadium this term.
This follows a recent report which claimed that Man City would be willing to sell Savinho or Omar Marmoush if they land Semenyo.
