Tottenham could now compound West Ham United’s misery by targeting two of the Hammers’ standout performers in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur dealt West Ham United a huge blow on Sunday afternoon after beating Everton 1-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to secure their Premier League status.

That victory ultimately sealed West Ham’s relegation, with the Hammers now confirmed as a Championship side despite former boss David Moyes attempting to do them a favour.

It was a tightly contested battle to avoid the drop this season, with just two points separating 17th and 18th place, while Tottenham needed 41 points to guarantee survival.

Tottenham eye Jarrod Bowen after West Ham relegation

Spurs could now hand West Ham two further blows in the summer transfer window after sending their bitter rivals down despite the Hammers’ 3-0 win over Leeds United.

Spurs Web previously reported on Tottenham’s interest in West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen, revealing Spurs could make a move for the versatile forward if their London rivals were relegated.

West Ham’s confirmed drop to the Championship now opens the door for Tottenham to pursue the Hammers captain, whom they have admired for some time.

Bowen was one of West Ham’s standout performers this season, registering 20 goal contributions after scoring nine times and providing 11 assists – no Tottenham player recorded more goal involvements.

But the England international will not come cheaply should Spurs push ahead with a move, as Bowen remains under contract at West Ham until 2030.

Tottenham will also need to fend off interest from elsewhere in the Premier League, with Newcastle United among the clubs monitoring the situation.

Spurs also remain interested in Crysencio Summerville

Spurs Web has also reported on Tottenham’s interest in Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, with Spurs previously said to be leading a six-club race for the forward back in April.

The Hammers’ relegation now means that Tottenham will intensify their efforts to land the former Championship Player of the Season this summer.

However, Tottenham will face strong competition from Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford and Everton, while there is also interest from clubs abroad.

Despite the rivalry between the two clubs, Tottenham and West Ham did business last summer when Mohammed Kudus completed his move from east London to north London.

Now, with Spurs preparing for a major rebuild, they could compound West Ham’s misery further by targeting two of their best players.
