Tottenham Hotspur are on course to have their worst-ever Premier League season and unless they pick up several wins in their last five games of the season, they will set some shocking records, which will reflect extremely poorly on Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham have had an extremely strange season. While they are just two steps away from European glory, their form in the Premier League continues to go from bad to worse.
Their latest loss at home against Nottingham Forest on Monday was their 18th Premier League defeat of the season, a nearly 55 per cent loss record.

While Ange Postecoglou will point to the injury crisis Spurs endured as a mitigating factor, results in the league have not improved since the return of key players from injury.

Ange Postecoglou is on course to set several unwanted records
After their latest 2-1 loss to Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, Tottenham Hotspur are now on the verge of achieving some unfortunate records that may stay in their record books for a long time.
BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella has now revealed that Spurs need to avoid losing two of their last five league games to avoid recording their most-ever defeats in a single league campaign.
They need eight more points to surpass their lowest ever points tally in the Premier League era, which stands at 44.
Further, the Lilywhites have already recorded their most losses at home in a 38-game season, but if they lose their two remaining home games against Crystal Palace and Brighton, they will even surpass their record for the most home defeats in a 44-game season.
Tottenham’s poor Premier League record cannot be overlooked
Even if Postecoglou becomes the first Tottenham manager to win a trophy since 2008, his league record is so unbelievably poor that it would be difficult for the club to entertain keeping him at the club beyond the summer.
It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Spurs have already begun searching for Postecoglou’s replacement, and one can understand why, with the Australian’s record in the league making his position untenable.
Even if Tottenham have a strong end to the season and remain undefeated in their final five league games, the Spurs boss’s fate might have been sealed.
