After a disastrous campaign in which they only avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth, Tottenham Hotspur’s finances have been hit with a huge blow.
Tottenham Hotspur managed to avoid financial catastrophe by avoiding relegation on the final day of the season.
Reports indicated that relegation would have led to Spurs’ revenue dropping by a whopping £250m, which could have had a serious impact on their long-term health.
While the Lewis family and the Tottenham board will be relieved that the worst outcome has been avoided, they have still seen a significant blow to their balance sheet from the team’s poor showing in 2025-26.

Tottenham have lost £20m in sponsorship value after finishing 17th
The Telegraph have now revealed that the Lilywhites have seen almost £20m wiped off their estimated sponsorship value after coming dangerously close to relegation.
The publication uses figures from the annual Premier League Fair Market Value index, which shows that despite their 17th-place finish in 2024-25, Spurs’ front-of-shirt, fair-market value was estimated at £49.1m last year.
That was owing mainly to their Europa League win and their resultant qualification for the Champions League.
However, a second consecutive 17th-place finish has seen that estimate fall by almost 40 per cent to £29.8m in this year’s index, while Tottenham’s sleeve sponsor has fallen to just £7.2m.
Naming rights of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are now less valuable
The Telegraph explain that the estimates for the naming rights of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have now fallen to just £11.2m per season.
That is less than half the £25m-a-year figure that former Spurs chairman Daniel Levy was shooting for.
It was reported earlier this year that a ‘multi-million-pound sponsor’ had plans to cut ties with Tottenham amid their on-pitch struggles.
The new report reveals that sponsor to be Kumho Tyre, who have been Tottenham’s official tyre partner since 2016. Kumho Tyre have notified the North London club that their partnership will cease this summer, with others potentially set to follow suit.
