Tottenham defender catches the eye of Leeds United

Tottenham Hotspur are currently down to only four centre backs in their fit and fighting squad at the moment.

Jan Vertonghen is out injured for the foreseeable future, and young Cameron Carter-Vickers is still out on loan.

The likes of Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier are usually all match starters, which leaves only 20-year-old Juan Foyth as a replacement.

It would therefore seem unwise to let the defender leave on loan in January, but according to AS Argentina, Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is keen on tempting him over.

Foyth has struggled with game time through his Spurs career and may want some time away to get first team football.

This is not the first time Leeds have been linked to the Argentine, who received his first international call up to the senior side this week.

Tottenham would likely only let him leave if they signed another centre back beforehand.
