Tottenham Hotspur fans have received some very bad news about an experienced defender after his latest injury blow.
Spurs have been decimated by injuries in each of their last two seasons, and Thomas Frank has made it clear that plans have been made to avoid another injury crisis this season.
However, the early signs are not positive. Tottenham are currently without 10 first-team players, with Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie the latest to be added to the treatment table.
Romero and Udogie’s injuries are not serious, according to Frank, but the Spurs head coach has now provided bad news about another senior man.

Thomas Frank provides injury update on Tottenham defender Ben Davies
According to an update on Tottenham’s official website, Ben Davies will also miss the club’s Champions League clash against Monaco this evening.
It is revealed that the defender is suffering from a hamstring strain, which he picked up while playing for Wales during the international break.
While an exact timeline is not given for the 32-year-old’s return, Frank is quoted as saying that the former Swansea man will be out of action for ‘weeks’.
One key Tottenham man is on the mend
Spurs’ attack has been boosted by the return of Randal Kolo Muani, who made his long-awaited Premier League debut against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Frank has also revealed that Dominic Solanke is making good progress after his surgery, admitting that things are looking positive for the striker.
However, the Tottenham head coach pointed out that the England international has not trained with the squad since the start of the season and would thus need time to get his fitness up to the required level.
