Tottenham Hotspur have just discovered what it will take for them to win the race for Juventus centre-back Pierre Kalulu.

Amid reports linking Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero with an exit from Spurs, it is not surprising to see the Lilywhites being credited with an interest in many top young centre-backs.

One of those is Pierre Kalulu, whom Tottenham are thought to be plotting a move for, as his future at Allianz Arena has come into question.

The Juve man has been on the Lilywhites’ radar for a while, with Spurs even considering a move for the French centre-back ahead of the January window.

Three other Premier League clubs could challenge Tottenham for Pierre Kalulu

Journalist Mark Brus has now revealed on CaughtOffside that the 25-year-old may indeed be bound for the Premier League this summer.

Brus makes no mention of Tottenha’s interest, but he claims that Liverpool are monitoring the Juve man, with their scouts having been impressed by the centre-back’s displays this season.

Additionally, he adds that Manchester United and Aston Villa are also in the mix to land Kalulu, as both clubs eye defensive reinforcements.

However, he makes it clear that as things stand, there is no clear frontrunner in the race for the France international. The Reds and the Red Devils are continuing to study the various options on the market before determining who the ideal signing would be to boost their backline.

Juventus’ stance on Kalulu and potential asking price revealed

Brus claims to have heard from sources close to Juventus that the Serie A club ‘do not intend to sell’ the defender and view him as ‘central’ to their long-term project.

Additionally, the Bianconeri are also preparing to offer Kalulu a new contract with Juventus, which runs until 2030, in order to secure his future and protect his value.

However, the journalist also reveals that he has heard from industry agents that Juve would sell the centre-back for the right price, perhaps for around €40m (£34.5) if he does not sign a contract extension in Turin.
