Tottenham discover Rayan release clause value as Liverpool join the race for Brazil starlet

Tottenham have discovered the release clause of highly-rated teenager Rayan Vitor, who is already being tipped for a Brazil call-up, but the club face serious competition in the race for his signature.

Regular readers of Spurs Web will already know that Tottenham Hotspur have been keeping a close eye on young Brazilian forward Rayan Vitor, who has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in South America.

The 19-year-old has been scoring goals for fun since his early youth days and has carried that form seamlessly into senior football after breaking into Vasco da Gama’s first team.

Vitor has already racked up 15 goals and two assists for the Rio de Janeiro side, with one of his most recent strikes coming just last week in a 2-0 victory over Cruzeiro, further underlining his growing reputation as a natural finisher.

Tottenham scouting Rayan amid growing transfer interest

The Daily Mail is now the latest to confirm Tottenham’s interest in Rayan Vitor, with the publication also revealing further details about the club’s monitoring of the forward.

Their report claims that Spurs have sent scouts to keep track of the youngster, and while the north London side remains keen on him, they are far from alone in the chase.

Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, Liverpool, Brighton, Barcelona and Zenit St Petersburg have also been tracking the Brazilian since the start of the year, meaning Tottenham will face stiff competition if they decide to push ahead with a move.

Rayan release clause and Spurs stance

The Daily Mail further revealed that the teenager is so highly rated that he is now being tipped for a potential Brazil call-up under Carlo Ancelotti, which would mark another step in his rapid development.

Vitor currently has a release clause worth £34 million (€40m), although reports earlier this week suggested that Tottenham could prise Vikto away for around £25.7 million (€30m), with Spurs hopeful of negotiating a lower fee.

Other sources have also claimed that Tottenham have already begun groundwork on securing a potential work permit for Viktor Rayan ahead of a possible January move, showing how seriously the club view his signing.
