Tottenham drop hint that stadium is very nearly ready

It has been a summer of delay after delay for Tottenham in regards to their new 62,000 seat stadium.

The new ground was originally supposed to open against Liverpool on September 15, but issues with the fire safety system put a stop to this.

Since then then club have failed to reveal a new opening date, presumably out of fear of not meeting the schedule yet again.

Tottenham have been playing their home games at Wembley again this season, a ground at which they have really found a home over the last year and a half.

However, players, staff and fans alike will be desperate to see the back of the national stadium as they move into their state of the art new stadium.

Pochettino let slip last month that the ground should be ready by the end of the year, and Football London have reported Tottenham’s biggest hint yet.

The club have told season ticket holders their stadium access cards are on the way, implying the stadium is very near completion.
