Two senior Tottenham stars have been nominated for the Premier League Fans’ Team of the Season, even though the Lilywhites could be relegated on Sunday.
This season has been an historically poor one for Tottenham, and it could still get worse, with relegation on the cards for Roberto De Zerbi’s men.
They need a point against Everton to ensure they stay in the Premier League, and if they fail to get over the line, it could have devastating consequences for Spurs over the medium and even the long term.
Hardly any of the club’s big-name stars have performed to their potential this season, but two have still been nominated for a prestigious honour.

Tottenham duo Micky van de Ven and Richarlison nominated for Team of the Season
Tottenham have confirmed that Micky van de Ven and Richarlison are among the 60 names nominated for the Premier League’s Fan Team of the Season.
The Dutch centre-back has made 34 appearances in the league this term, boasting of 119 recoveries, which puts him in the top echelon of centre-backs this season, while only two other central defenders in the decision have completed more dribbles than him.
Richarlison has scored 12 goals across all competitions, 11 of which have come in the Premier League, but he does not feature in the top 10 in the Golden Boot race this season.

Van de Ven has admitted he has been at his best this season
The irony of this nomination is that Van de Ven himself will likely be embarrassed by it, given what he has said about his own performances.
The Tottenham defender admitted he has been struggling with his own form this season, confessing he has been well short of his best.
Meanwhile, reports continue to suggest that Spurs have decided to cash in on Richarlison this summer, even though he will finish as the club’s top scorer this term.
