Tottenham and Tracey Levy embrace club legend with this amazing gesture

Since Jimmy Greaves suffered a severe stroke, his life has simply never been the same. The 79 year old is completely disabled down his right side, has to be in a wheelchair, his vision is impaired, his speech has become weak and requires assistance from carers many times a day.

The all-time leading goalscorer in Tottenham Hotspur’s history was an incredible player with people comparing him to Lionel Messi with his dazzling dribbling and goal scoring ability.

Jimmy Greaves was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame in 2016 after scoring 266 goals in 379 games in which many say was the club’s finest era.

Since the stroke, it has been noted that Jimmy Greaves relationship with Tottenham has distinctly improved with the wife of Chairman, Daniel Levy, Tracey embracing the Greaves family.

“I’m not privy to what the relationship was like before. That was between Dad and Tottenham but, since the illness, I can say Tracey has been absolutely different class. The club are helping us not just with a bit of financial support but by allowing Dad to watch training or go and look around the ground when nobody’s there to stimulate memories,” said Jimmy Greaves’ son, Danny (Daily Mail).

Before the demolition of White Hart Lane, Greaves was able to spend some time on the pitch and looked around where he had scored many goals and gathered many memories and said: ‘I wish I could have a kick about’.
